A “Nobel Prize for War”? The Raelian Movement Denounces a Political Masquerade

“The Nobel Peace Prize has too often become a political tool disguised as a moral endorsement. Spiritual Leader Rael to Join Global Commemoration on Anniversary of Hiroshima Bombing: August 6 Marks the Raelian New Year and 80 Years Since the Atomic Tragedy
TOKYO, August 5, 2025 — Rael, founder and spiritual leader of the International Raelian Movement, will once again take part in the annual Raelian New Year celebration on August 6—this year marking the 80th anniversary of the Hiroshima genocide.
In a previous statement, Rael strongly condemned the bombing, calling it one of the greatest crimes ever committed against humanity: “Harry Truman is the worst criminal of all time against humanity because he gave the order to bomb two Japanese cities that were clearly civilian objectives. He did so in violation of the rules of war, and his orders caused the instant killing of 300,000 innocent civilians, including elderly people and children. Even Adolf Hitler didn’t kill that many civilians with two bombs!”
He further added: “Pretending that he saved lives by shortening the war when he ordered the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki makes the crime even more horrific. It’s like saying that it’s okay to sacrifice the lives of innocent civilians to save the lives of military personnel.”
